Electronic Health Monitoring
The project uses data from health budgets and service points to show how financial resources are allocated at the point of care to enable more effective decision making. This system deals specifically with programs focused on health service delivered nationally. The implementation of the E-Health Routine Enhanced Monitoring System project contains two stages:
(1) A”functional” stage focused on the functional design, system requirements, and creating ownership among the
stakeholders, especially the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) including the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Community Development, Mother and Child Health and Ministry of Finance.
(2) A technical stage that augments the relational database developed in Phase I to include financial information and Resource AllocationMatrices (RAMs) from other main providers of HIV/AIDS-related resources that contribute to GRZ services delivered through facilities in the six provinces supported by Zambia Prevention Care and Treatment award (ZPCT). Sub-contractor facilitated stakeholder functional and technical activities including functional requirements workshops with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Community Development, Mother and Child Health, and Ministry of Finance, technical design sessions, and validating implementation plan.
